Love my new Bosch hood! I saw a couple reviews that talked about the lights getting really hot. I loosened the screws to open the lighting case and it not longer gets hot.

We've had it for a year now, and it still works as expected. Occasionally there is a hum which seems to get better once the motor is running for a few minutes, but otherwise the motor is quiet and all you hear is the air. The suction power is pretty good and you can see the steam/smoke getting sucked into the hood.

I purchased all 800 series appliances for my kitchen. However, I did not like how large the 800 hood was and settled for this. Glad I did. The footprint is small, is powerful and quiet. My only negative is that it shipped without bulbs.

This is a relatively small range hood that fits our 1960s vintage kitchen perfectly. The sound level is amazingly low for how much air is moved.
